Searching for products from the Far East can be done by almost anyone with today’s technology. However, knowing which product and supplier to choose out of a pool of hundreds and maybe thousands of options cannot.
The most common sourcing request involved sourcing an off-the-shelf product from a manufacturer. This means the manufacture has made the product before and can quickly start production when required. All that is needed is some minor cosmetic customization such as customized colour-ways, product screen printing and packaging design. Another benefit of this method is that the manufacture will have experience producing the product and in most cases all safety certification will be available. This is the quickest and easiest way to source a product from the Far East.
When choosing a supplier and product we take into account the commercial and product requirements that are defined by our clients. At the same time it is our duty as service providers to minimize any potential risks involved by evaluating suppliers even from the initial approach. We do not look for the lowest possible price or the easiest way of supplying a product, as this normally results in considerable compromises.
