Discussing pricing with suppliers is a delicate art. There are hundreds of methods of negotiation as there are in the western world but with China there is a language and cultural barrier which makes such discussions far more difficult.

Importing products from another country brings many variables to cost prices. These variables differ between countries even for identical products. Local currency variations, increasing labor costs, changes in employment law as well as commodity price fluctuations can have a margin crippling impact on cost prices.
